To remember Doug, we will miss him a lot, feeding the birds, looking after his garden talking to anyone who passes, I can hear the sound of the garage door going up and Doug appearing, time to stop and have a chat. We respected him for who he was. He gave us tomatoes, apples, pears and flowers from his garden. Even cut our hedge when life was too busy to cut it. A good neighbour with stories which were not only funny but made you realise that older people have had a life the same as anyone and must be respected and that we have only seen a small part of it and can give you knowledge. Taking 5 mins out of your day to talk to someone is not much to ask, we must always do this and we may learn something from it and know that we did.
